I’m Terra Field, a Senior AI Infrastructure Engineer at NVIDIA working on Operational Excellence for DGX Cloud. Previously I worked at Honeycomb on core Kafka/Linux infrastructure. Prior to that, I worked at Netflix operating the Apache Spark/Mesos clusters that ran Machine Learning jobs for recommendations, and at Blizzard Entertainment building out the service discovery and observability infrastructure for Overwatch and other games.

Though I am a Jersey Girl at heart, I live in San Francisco with my partners, two corgis, three cats, and a surprisingly robust homelab. When not in San Francisco we can often be found at our Forest Service Cabin in the Sierra Nevada that is part of the recreational residence program.

This blog hosts essays about tech and being a person, though the boundary between the two is often not that clean.
